Consider what you wrote yesterday and think about where this issue or self-criticism began. Try and consider what it has detracted from your life since the problem arose and how your life will be better for it on the other side of it.
You’re cooking dinner tonight. If you’re normally the cook in the house, elevate it or make sure you know it’s a meal she loves. And make your kids help if they’re able. Have them set the table, carry a plate and drink to your wife, stir a pot, put some noodles in, anything to make them feel included.
